School Building – Athens

Deemed an historical building in the area of Ag. Panteleimon, this building was erected before 1923. It consisted of residential spaces on the upper floors and shops on the ground floor. For the building’s conversion to a school building, the required changes for operational reasons, interventions, supports and refurbishing, did not interfere with the original building. The façades of the building remained intact and the architectural and decorative elements where highlighted without interfering with the original character of the historical building. Static interventions were applied so that the building could be considered viable, functional and safe by today’s standards.
