Thissio – Athens

This project included the need to obtain a building permit in order to preserve and exhibit ancient findings found within the basement, in addition to, the architectural and structural modifications. This is a three-story stone building with a rectangular ground plan, including a basement. It is deemed a historical building. In order to cover the excavation area in the basement, the floor was made with a completely reversible material. This was achieved by placing steel beams and covering them with crystals in order to have visual access to the findings.
